Another visit to the Singapore Art Museum

This ‘season’ Jia Aili is being featured with his collection, “Seeker of Hope” as he dictates the China’s social and cultural transformation through oil paintings and intricate techniques. It’s a slightly depressing collection but it’s the dark truth.

Another new collection is “Panorama” Contemporary Art from Recent Asia where there’s a strong mix of culture and socio-political issues. This collection has a high brow appeal with a dash of humour.

It’s another visit to the Singapore Art Museum and since the month of August is a special one for Singapore, admissions are free for National Heritage Board museums and institutions. Sure enough, this morning, me and my sister decided to go to the Singapore Art Museum (SAM). The last I went was on January and today’s visit was not a disappointment. In fact it was such a great experience, just what  need to refill my inspiration meter.

Looking at an artwork and appreciating it allows you to feel the emotions from it, the brush strokes, the colour (which is well complimented by the lighting of course).

So for the month of August 2012, do visit the Singapore arts Museum — it’s the right boost of inspiration for you.

UNTIL NEXT TIME
